Summary: A supposed sequel to Fulci's legendary ZOMBIE (aka ZOMBI 2), there is actually no relation between ZOMBIE 3 and its alleged predecessor. Though Fulci is given full directorial credit, he dropped out of the project fairly early and was replaced by Bruno Mattei, who previously made the outrageously awful ZOMBIE knock-off HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD. Here, a trio of G.I.'s on leave are soaking up the rays on an idyllic island when a nearby scientific team tests a serum designed to bring the dead back to life.
