Summary: At a time when more than a third of Ugandans are infected with the HIV virus, many mothers have to reckon with dying before their children have grown up. A result has been memory books: compilations of family history and words of wisdom to guide their children after they are gone. This moving documentary captures four mothers as they lovingly and painfully construct their memory books, preparing themselves for the parting that will come.
